The Cisco 860VAE Series can provide cost-effective basic or secure wired or wireless connectivity for a casual or enterprise teleworker as well as serve as managed customer premises equipment (CPE) for service providers.

The Cisco 860VAE ISRs come in three functional types:

The base routeroffers entry-level features and basic connectivity,

The secure router–offers advanced security and QoS options in addition to the basic features,

A secure wireless router adds wireless LAN connectivity and FlexVPN including site-to-site VPN.

Each of these options is available for basic telephone service and ISDN xDSL connections.
